Our San Francisco Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) Chapter meets monthly (usually on the 2nd Wednesday of the month). Our membership covers the San Francisco Bay Area. However with the virtual nature of events, we also encourage ISSA members world wide to attend.A login link is provided upon registration. How Many People Attend and Who are They? There are usually 25 to 50 information security professionals in attendance at the monthly Chapter meetings. Our membership covers the San Francisco Bay Area. Members are of varying career and experience levels and presenters should keep this in mind when preparing and presenting.
What are Guidelines for Presentation Topics and Content? The presentation cannot be a "sales/product pitch." However, it is okay for the speaker to take a minute or two to establish their expertise in the area and the company at which they work." The presentation should be technical and educational in nature and relate to one or more of the (ISC)² CBK https://www.isc2.org/Certifications/CISSP The presentation should be interesting, unique, thought provoking, “different” or exciting The presentation should last no more than 45 minutes excluding a 10-15 minute question and answer session. The presentation should have a presentation title, abstract, and speaker bio to e-mailed to [email protected] prior to the agreed upon presentation date
Logistical Information: SF Bay ISSA will provide the meeting platform. The presenter and their guests will be invited as panelists and will be able to present slides, speak and display webcam. Chapter board members will be moderators. Chapter members will be muted and without video or presentation. They can raise their hands in chat to ask questions and a moderator can unmute them if they need audio to ask a question or make a comment. Unless there is an objection we will record the presentation (generally we only record the presenter and not chapter members or board members)
